She thought she was special
But sadly she was just another girl
Another notch on his belt
Nothing more than a blip on his radar
Wanting to be angry with him
But only able to muster anger towards herself
She was told she had forgotten her worth
Honestly she did not know if she had ever had it
For her it seemed her heart lay not in her chest
But in a place where only boys knew the way
The boys who said she was deserving of all things wonderful were the same boys who
Kicked her to the curb
Leaving her alone
Attempting to put the so called pieces of her worth back in their rightful places
She looked to them for solace
While they found solace in the place where her heart lay
