Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

I ran my first 5K this morning. All of those people. Those survivors rocking their pink shirts. I definitely felt like I was apart of something great.
I was training for it and then I got derailed. I was picking up extra hours at work which gobbled up my running time.
My goal was to run the 3.1 miles without stopping. But baybee that beaming hot sun was no joke.
I stopped to stretch and get water.
Crossing the finish line with the survivor lane next to me felt amazing ;-)
Those women (and men) are some fighters.
I kept telling myself, "If they can go undergo rounds of chemotherapy then I can run this race"
Running in a 5K was on my bucket list for 24
So excited that I'm able to cross it off
