Everyone knows that Girlfriends is my favorite television shows. I loved the clothes, their hilarious antics, and their differing personalities. But most of all, I appreciated the bond the four women developed. They were four women from different walks of life but it seemed to work. And not to mention it was one of the few Black shows that showed Black women in a positive light. But I digress, in the last few weeks I realized how necessary friends are! I think I talk to my friends more now that we no longer attend the same school (funny how that works!). My friends are amazing and I hope other women have the pleasure of having a group of women that they can lean on as well. Now don't get me wrong it's not always rainbows and butterflies. Like Girlfriends, there are times they didn't understand why the others did crazy things and sometimes they didn't always agree but it's that foundation and support that keeps Joan,Toni, Mya and Lynn together. It's that same support that keeps my friendships going!
