Since I'm home, I've been catching up on my trashy reality tv. Thank you VH1 ;-)
I watched both parts of the Basketball Wives reunion and I must admit I loved every screaming minute of it. I didn't really keep up with the season but I found the reunion to be very entertaining: what's not to like about 6 attractive women arguing about who's a bigger groupie, who's slept with the most athletes, and who's a better dresser?! I don't know about you....but I got a kick out of it!! Anywho, after the reunion, VH1 graced me with their new show, Love and Hip Hop!! It is equally as ridiculous as Bball wives.
But I had one issue: The two main women on the show have been with their respective rappers for 6+ years and said rappers have never voiced wanting a future with either of them. Furthermore, the one rapper lives with his baby momma, who started off as his stylist, won't even acknowledge her. She styles him for shows but she's not allowed to attend events. *BLANKSTARE* KNEEGROW PLEASE
At what point do you throw in the towel?! At what point do you realize that this guy isn't going to make a move?! Now I will say this, hope is nothing to play with. I'm sure these women are just hoping that their men will see the light. But if after 6 years he hasn't even mentioned marriage, I think it's time to gather one's things and roll out. I just can't fully understand why these women stay. Those are 6 years of my life I CAN'T GET BACK because my man is getting comfortable. I also don't understand how you can be with a man who doesn't want to scream from the rooftops that he's with you. I'm all about privacy but if everyone knows he has a child but NO ONE knows you are the baby momma.....I just can't...and yall live TOGETHER.
CHILD PLEASE
It couldn't be ME
Oh no ma'am.
Again I understand, fighting for your relationship and all of that...BUT sometimes things must come to an end. *looks at Mashonda* Mashonda was holding onto her marriage when Swizz had already checked out. That's the worst. His actions have proved that he was over it...but to add salt to the wound quiet as its kept: he was STILL sleeping with Mashonda while he was carrying on his relationship with Alicia Keys. If you're going to break the vows, the least you could do was to speed up the divorce Swizz. That whole "technically I'm not married because I'm separated" is a bunch of nonsense.
But Mashonda did make a good point: If a man only wants you half the time he doesn't deserve you
Meanwhile back on the ranch,If If there are more days filled with tears than smiles....it's time to chalk it up, start the letting go process while drinking a margarita. I meant that's what I would do. *sips margarita*
On another note, when will women realize that if a woman really wanted their man she would do any and everything in her power to make that happen *looks @ Chrissy* Don't nobody want Jim Jones. ((well maybe with a hair cut and bath....I'm just saying))
This was my favorite quote from the show: You're a kept b*tch....I'm the kinda b*tch you keep<<<this was said with so much sincerity it gave me so much life and then some....needless to say I can't wait for the next episode. :-)
