................................Still nothing?!
Beyonce.Giselle.Knowles.Carter.
Duh!!You guessed it....I'm still loving Beyonce's new album. She is definitely madly in love with Jigga. ;-)
1+1--Chile...*closes eyes and vibes* I've never been in love but baybeee I'm glad Beyonce is. Such a great ballad....
I Care and I Miss You (2&3 respectively) I like these songs but they don't really do it for me. I don't have anything to add besides that.
Best Thing I Never Had.....
another one of my favorites. Beyonce in this lingerie and white dress (@ the reception) made me remember why I started working out in the first place. Motivation I tell you. She looked amazing in the video...not to mention she gives me life erry time she sings "Thank God I found the Good in goodbye...I used to want you so bad" Yeeeeeessss!! I often wonder who Beyonce dated before she got with Jigga. *sips tea*
Party feat Andre 3000-- Any person who can get 3Stacks to pen 16 bars is a winner in my book. "You a bad girl and your friends bad too....ooh....you got the swag sauce...drippin swagu" Kanye, can we get that on a shirt?! Thanks management. Or this "Heeeyy.....cuz we like to party"
Rather Die Young--This song grew on me.....I didn't like it at first but I now I thoroughly enjoy it ;-)
Start Over---this.right.here. Her voice is strong here. I enjoy the lyrics as well.
Love on Top---MY FAVORITE SONG ON THE ALBUM!! Chile BEY showed up, showed out, and then showed up again. This song goes hard in the car!! This song is 4:27
Countdown--Another one of my favorites. This also goes hard in the car."I'm all up under him like it's cold...wintertime" made me think of "It's going down...basement" O_O "Show him how you ride it" Well alright....she better tell us how she keeps Jay coming back for more. *takes notes* "Damn I think I love that boy.Do anything for that boy" Love how she says this!
End of Time---This song took the longest for me to love. I couldn't get into it. But I realized its potential when I African danced around my apartment while it blasted ever so loudly.
Judge me not.
I Was Here---You only have one life to live. Why not be great. *cues Beyonce's work ethic*
Bonus Songs
There were a slew of Run The World remixes *yawn* I don't like that song. I think the lyrics are elementary at best and should have been a bonus song (not the lead single) in the first place. Although, she gave me LIFE in the video.
Dance for You--I have worn this song out and not in the way that you think (if you listen to the words. Lol) I believe Beyonce and Jay get down to this song. Say they don't. "Wanna show ya how much you got ya girl feeling good" Bey is definitely singing in a lower register than she usually does. Me likes. Another song where Bey is dropping knowledge. I'm convinced Jay is a happy man. *takes notes*
Lay Up Under Me--The content of the song reminded me of a line from Shihan "...or slow dancing to the music of our hearts"
Schoolin Life--I enjoy this song too because of its dancing around my apartment capabilities. "Who needs a degree when you're schoolin life??" ....um...*taps mic*.....ma'am...-______-
With all that said, 4 was everything I needed it to be. I was nervous about her record sales because she wasn't a promoting machine. This album doesn't sound like her other three which is why I think some people still don't like it. Life equals growth both artistically and personally. Beyonce is a married (much in love) 29 year old woman who took total control of this album (She dropped her Dad as management). Now if I can get another DVD with her doing videos for all the songs and see her + that lace front live I would be a HAPPY CAMPER. ;-)
.....a girl can dream?!
